Plantar Wart Toolbox Fix

warts2.jpg

If you or someone you know gets a plantar wart there is an easy solution that comes from your toolbox, rather than your medicine chest. A Plantar wart is a black pin hole (or larger) on the bottom of the foot, which is dfferent from a traditional wart which is a skin toned bump on any part of the body. They can be both be caused/contributed to by an immune system weakness. In addition to addressing this weakness and any allergies, viruses, etc. that may be involved, we have duct tape to the rescue! Duct tape is the thick, silver tape with the heavy adhesive that is meant to be used on AC and heating ducts. It has come to be commonly or jokingly used for MANY other things, including prom dresses!
The way to use it to treat a plantar wart is to first thoroughly clean and dry the affected area. Then cut a piece of duct tape that is just larger than the wart and apply it firmly over the wart. Repeat this process daily until the wart is gone. I have seen deep, quarter-sized "crater" plantar warts eliminated by doing this vigilantly, even when nothing else has helped.
