If you are an avid grocery shopper, you would know that tomato prices right now are a bit higher than usual. My husband recently bought tomatoes from Publix called “Campari”. They aren’t organic, but they are greenhouse grown, pesticide and herbicide free, and vine ripened. They are 3.99 a pound, and come in a clear case. Even though they aren’t organic, they are still less toxic than regular tomatoes and they tasted really good. At Nature’s Food Patch, a local health food store, their organic tomatoes were $3.69 a pound, but had no taste. They also had Organic Roma tomatoes for around $3.49 and they tasted OK to good. Tomatoes are one of the fruits/vegetables that are very high in pesticides and herbicides, so it is very important to pick your tomatoes carefully. ENJOY!
